What is Summer in the CIty?
Summer in the City is the UK’s largest and longest-running Online Video Festival. The event is for everyone with an interest in online video, whether they be creators, viewers, or industry professionals looking to gain more of an insight into the YouTube community.
Since its inception in 2009, Summer in the City has allowed attendees to make lasting connections with one another, whilst also providing opportunity to learn and be entertained through the event’s discussion panels, workshops and live performances. These activities, combined with our meet and greets, also allow our special guests to engage with their viewers and personally thank them for all of their support over the years.

Meet & Greets
Although many great Youtubers spend the entire weekend meeting their fans on the show floor or at their merch stands, we also put on scheduled Meet and Greet sessions with many of our top creators. All ticket holders are able to select their favourite creators from the line up in an online ballot a few weeks before the event, and the ballot draws tickets for each creator at random amongst those who have requested them. For more information about how the ballot works, click here:Meet & Greet Information
The SitC Main Stage will once again play host to some of your favourite creators from the online world, doing their thing in a live setting. Acts like dodie, NEW HOPE CLUB, Jon Cozart, Jack and Dean and Bethan Leadley will be pulling out all the stops as they take to the stage for the biggest show of the year! See the full line up here.
Having become a SitC staple on Sunday’s Main Stage show, the SitC Awards will be back in 2018. Celebrating the best content of the year, from vloggers to authors, music to film, breakthrough acts, community favourites, and maybe a few new categories too!
We can’t wait to find out who picks up the prizes this year!
A hugely important element of Summer in the City is its ability to foster open discussion on topics that are important to our community. We bring together the largest and most diverse group of creators in the UK and put together a schedule of over 75 panels across the weekend. Many of our most popular panels cover social issues and their intersection with the online community, such as Women on YouTube, LGBTQ+, Ethnicity & Diversity Online, and Mental Health. Others are more YouTube specific, such as the Creator / Viewer Divide, Popularity vs Integrity, Collaboration, and the Small YouTubers panel. Our full schedule will be available here ahead of the event.
At the heart of Summer in the City is our Exhibition Hall. Click through to read more about our recent additions; a Gaming Stage, a Fashion and Beauty Stage, and a Lifestyle Zone! You’ll also find information on our creator merchandise area, funfair and everything else the expo hall has to offer!More about the Expo Hall
